woven
Here is a highlight of some of my various weaving projects, from woven fabric samplers, to wall hangings, to blankets. Weaving is one of my favorite handmade practices, and these projects span from floor looms to computer-aided jacquard looms.
Surface of A Tree

Surface of a Tree is a 45x20 inch unit jacquard woven inspired by tree bark. This woven uses a double cloth on white warp with fingerling wool yarn. This design was developed previously for Provencal Tea Party was a print using a melon skin block print, but was later reworked as a jacquard woven.

Through the Branches
Lace Blanket
Through The Branches is a 74 x 28 inch bronson lace blanket inspired by the feeling of looking up at a tree's branches against the sky. This blanket was made out of cream and sugar cotton, and was woven through an eight harness bronson lace structure on a floor loom.
